WebDrive 2019 and Older Versions End of Life and No Longer Supported: No Longer Activating, Error during Use or Activation

Note that the version of WebDrive in use reached its End of Life and has not been supported or updated for many years.

We realize companies are busy, so for years our team made every attempt to keep these old licenses on life-support for as long as possible, allowing customers ample time to update business critical workloads to a newer and more secure edition of our Software. Some of the policies included allowing these old, end-of-life, and sometimes insecure, versions to contact our licensing servers to check for hotfixes and verify activation and licensing status.

During a recent upgrade of our licensing and activation systems in late 2025, management made the decision to end life support for these old licenses which have not been patched or touched in years. As of January 2026, to help ensure the security and serviceability of those customers who are on the latest interaction of our software, End of Life licenses will no longer be permitted to contact our licensing and activation servers.

These versions have reached the end of life and there is no fix for this issue. The good news is that installing the update to the latest release is transparent and quick. You can purchase the latest update directly from our website at www.southrivertech.com. Install the new build transparently over the existing EOL software and you should be good to go.

Thank you again for being such a long time customer and we hope you continue to use our software for your business in 2026.
