Hyperlinks Not Working when Shared and Accessed through WebDrive
Question
How do I allow hyperlinks to be used to share locations of files?
Answer
WebDrive allows for this functionality. However, support is enabled for other functionalities, namely Terminal Server and RDS environments, by default that cause hyperlinks to have difficulty. The current Windows username is appended to the UNC server name to allow for unique UNC names for all users on the system. This guide will turn that off and allow hyperlinks to work.
Steps
Open the main WebDrive Settings and ensure that “Show all settings” is enabled.
Open the Advanced Settings dropdown and disable “Allow RDS or Terminal Server”
Reconnect the site and try the hyperlink creation and then access again.
